How to Shift Your Seasonal Stock
As a retailer, you may have seasonal stock that you sell every Christmas, Halloween, New Year and every season in between. However, you may struggle to shift this stock after the festive period has ended. You can store this stock until next year, but by this time it may be out of date and it’s just taking up space that you could use for other, new stock. So, how can you shift your seasonal stock?

Think About Lifespan
When you take on seasonal stock, like cards, it is a good idea to think about its lifespan and the correct way to display them, such as a greeting card rack. Some products may be specific only to that season, such as Christmas decorations. Others may sell throughout the year but experience peaks at particular times of the year, such as face paint during the Halloween period. By working out the lifespan of your stock, you will be able to manage it more effectively.Identify the Right Time to Start Displays
It’s important to identify when you should start displaying your stock. Too late and you may have missed out on some prime selling time. You may have to do some research to find out when you should start displaying your seasonal stock and, if you can identify the right time, you can optimise the way you sell stock as you take advantage of every selling opportunity without taking up shelf space with seasonal displays too early.
