You might think that, having chosen your shopfittings supplier carefully, been reassured that you’re purchasing ethically sourced, high quality slatwall, and confirmed how many panels you need, that should be the end of sorting out your slatwall retail display. However, to optimise your presentation, there are other considerations…
Slatwall Profiles:
Finishing trims for your slatwall panels are made from good quality PVC and are available in white, cream and grey. As their name suggests, these affordable additions improve the profile of your slatwall display. End caps and D-Edging Strips fit over the vertical side of your slat panel, giving a smooth edge, rather than the exposed MDF of standard boards. Like all other profiles, they are supplied to fit the slatwall panels you order – usually 2440mm long, but cut to size as necessary.
Joining Strips are ideal for when your slatwall boards have been installed against a slightly uneven wall. To ensure a smooth continuation between panels, the joining strips are supplied in two parts – one to fit behind the panels and the other that clips in front, between boards, giving a polished, professional appearance.
No doubt you wonder how to make the best of any corners your slatwall display might entail. All good shopfitting suppliers will offer slatwall corner profiles. These are available as fixed strips (fixed corner profiles) of coloured PVC (white, cream, or grey), with a 90˚ angle, ready to be placed into the internal corner created by two slatwall panels, as well as flexi-corner strips; permitting use when the angle between panels is different from 90˚. For a more complete corner solution – for example when using slatwall on a column, or two projecting walls, the best option is the External Corner Profile. This gives a smooth, rounded corner to the installation; much more attractive and safer than the sharp, square edge produced by abutting two slatwall panels at right angles.

Slatwall Inserts:
Slatwall inserts provide a touch of class to your retail display. Not only do they enhance the appearance, they also increase the weight-bearing capacity of the panels. Either coloured PVC – with a wide range of colour options available, or Aluminium inserts are on offer. The aluminium inserts are especially good if you’re displaying really heavy products. Our coloured PVC inserts, with a mirrored strip, are particularly attractive! Flexi GripTight inserts like those we supply at Crown Display are even easier to fit than more complex ‘T-section’ inserts (they just clip into the grooves within the slatwall panels).
