Back in late 2013 we were privileged to be able to assist ITV with some retail shelving hire for their highly successful and long running soap ‘Emmerdale’. Do you watch it? You should, it’s a lively and entertaining soap filmed right here in the UK.
Since then we have been called upon various times to assist with similar, and not so similar projects, hiring out shop shelving, and various other shop furniture, fixtures and fittings. Indeed, we are currently working on a high profile filming project due for completion in January (it’s exciting but we can’t tell you anymore yet!)
We have a very experienced team of fitters who travel throughout the UK, making sure all the hired retail shelving is supplied on time, in good order and assembling it just the way the client requires. They will tailor any adjustments, and are on hand to troubleshoot problems during the rental period. At the end of the agreed shelving hire arrangement, the team will return, swiftly dismantle and remove the shelving in a clean and tidy manner.
After completing many of these projects over the past 4 years, our office staff and fitting team have established excellent working practices to ensure any project requiring the hire of retail shelving runs smoothly and trouble free. Here are just some of the special requirements we’ve attended to;
- Shop shelving has been required in a non-standard colour; it was sprayed to the required colour.
- A location change was required halfway through the hire period; we sent a team in to dismantle, move and re-assemble the shelving in the new filming location.
- Initial construction time was required in 1 day instead of the normal 2 (sometimes longer); we drafted fitters from other teams to ensure the assembly was completed in the time allocated.
- A last minute change to the shelving plan; we ‘same day’ couriered the components required to our fitting team on location.
