We take your custom and business very seriously. We also have a great deal of respect for our fellow shop fitters, colleagues and shop shelving fitting teams and like most companies we are bombarded by spam emails and junk mail on a daily basis. Fortunately for us, our spam blocker catches most of these, though occasionally one or 2 slip through. Just such an email was sent to us last week by another shopfitting company, who wanted to know if the content was true.The content of which was this:
“Rather than badger you with cold calls, I decided to try a fresh and less invasive approach – with a proposition.
We have recently finished optimising ‘Crown display’ who are currently the first page for numerous keywords related to their business, including ‘Slatwall’, a big traffic generator.
We are now looking to work with another company within this industry with similar keyword targets, that’s where you potentially come in.”
We work very hard on SEO and whilst the company we do use saw the funny side of this, we didn’t find it quite as amusing. We have contacted Open Umbrella who have apologised for their `error`. We wanted to stress to our customers, and our competitors, that we have never used the services of Open Umbrella and should you receive any email citing us as a ‘client’ please let us know.
